Conditions of Use of SmartPLAY

06 Mar 2026Issued at HKT 11:30

The new conditions of use of "SmartPLAY" effective from 21 January 2026, prohibited the use of computer programmes or other automated tools to book facilities or interfere with the normal operation of the system, regardless of whether a facility booking reservation or transaction has been made. The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) reminds SmartPLAY users that any breach will result in the suspension of the account concerned for 360 days without prior notice.

The LCSD reminds users once again of the need to comply with the "Conditions of Use of SmartPLAY", to properly manage the information of their SmartPLAY accounts, and not to disclose their user account numbers and passwords to others. The LCSD stresses that users should not provide their user account details to, and pay scalpers to book facilities on their behalf. Users having purchased such booking services or provided their account details to any third parties, should change their passwords as soon as possible and regularly update the passwords to prevent unauthorised use of their accounts.
