Enrolment for District Age Group Competition - Reminder

Notes to Applicants with “Local Status”:
- Applicants enrol in the capacity of “Local Status” are required to upload valid residence or schooling proof of “Local Status” onto their SmartPLAY personal profiles and sign a declaration. For applicants aged under 18, in addition to a guardian’s/parent’s residence proof, proof of relationship (e.g. birth certificate) must also be uploaded. District Leisure Services Office (DLSO) will process the application within ten working days. Applicants will be eligible to enjoy priority in balloting only after the “Local Status” is approved by DLSO.
- If an applicant’s “Local Status” proof is not approved by the organising DLSO two days before the ballot date or their applications for the “Local Status” are rejected, no priority will be accorded to him/her in balloting.
- Applicants are only entitled to register with “Local Status” in one district and be given priority in balloting for that district’s age group competitions within the same financial year (i.e. from 1 April to 31 March). The “Local Status” must be reapplied for and reapproved annually.
Payment/Confirmation (Applicable to Doubles/Relay Event):
- The prime applicant is required to complete the confirmation procedures or settle the fee for the doubles/relay event in which he/she and his/her partner are jointly participating. The partner, however, is not required to complete the confirmation procedures or pay for such a doubles/relay event.
- If the partner of the prime applicant is also allocated a place in a singles/individual event through balloting within the same District Age Group Competition after the prime applicant has settled the fee for the doubles/relay event, the partner is required to complete the confirmation procedures for the singles/individual event (no payment needed). Otherwise, relevant confirmation procedures will be deemed incomplete.
